Ubuntu Search Engines

Listed below are various Ubuntu search engines that I of others found useful. Just click on the search engine name to install it into your firefox search bar.

Green check marks mean that I am internally testing the engine (It will not install for others). The Ubuntu icon means that the engine is ready for you to install.

Quick search engines are really just sort cuts to existing search boxes within the Ubuntu community. We can put in all of the the some search options as the orginal search box allows, so these quick searchs can be as flexible or specific as you require.

The code for a search engine is installed into ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/searchplugins. It is human readable. To remove a search engine, delete the .src and .png files.
